Mosaic is the 4,000-year-old art form of using mortar and small pieces of decorative glass, tiles and other materials to create geometric designs. In this two-night introduction class, pick from an assortment of patterns and materials to make your own distinctive statement on your choice of a cylindrical glass vase, a piece of beech wood or a ceramic tile. Learn how to properly cut, break and place your materials, the curing process, adding mortar and finishing your piece. Please wear close-toed shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Long hair should be tied back.
